Maldonado to be docked 10 grid places in Abu Dhabi

GROVE, England(AP) Williams driver Pastor Maldonado will be docked 10 grid places at the Nov. 13 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for exceeding his engine allowance for the season.

The Venezuelan driver will be on his ninth engine of the season at the race after his Cosworth unit was damaged when his gearbox failed in Sunday's Indian Grand Prix.

Drivers are restricted to eight V8 engines per season.

Teammate Rubens Barrichello will be on his eighth engine for the season's penultimate race.
